Independence Day Is Party Time Family Style Here In Claremont

    By Tisza Major-Posner | June 23, 2007

    FireworksHi All,

As I write this we are just 12 days away from one of the two biggest celebrations in the City of Claremont… Independence Day! Here in Claremont we celebrate big! Tickets are already on sale for the annual Fireworks show at Pomona College - Strehle Track, Gates open 6:30 p.m.
Show begins 9 p.m. Tickets are $6.00 during presale and $8.00 at the gate, but get them fast because when they are gone they are gone and they sell out quick.

You can purchase tickets at: Claremont City Hall (207 Harvard Ave.)
Claremont Human Services 1700 Danbury Road
Claremont Chamber of Commerce 205 Yale Avenue (next to Wells Fargo Bank in the Village)
VONS 550 E. Baseline Road (at the corner of Mills and Baseline)
    Wolfe’s Market (160 W. Foothill Boulevard

Click the links within this paragraph for more information about all of the wonderful activities planned starting with the Kick Off Concert on June 30th and all of the events on July 4th including the Claremont Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast, Claremont Village Freedom 5000 1K & 5K Run/Walk, The Family Festival at Memorial Park and the Fourth of July Parade (Which begins at the corner of 10th & Indian Hill moves south to Harrison then west to Mountain Ave., ending at Larkin Park.)

The Parade begins at 4 PM but get your viewing spot early and remember that it can be hot on the parade route so be sure to bring plenty of water, perhaps a blanket to sit on, your best red-white-and-blue ensemble and get ready to have a wonderful hometown holiday!

    Take care,
