Casa Blanca’s Claremont’s Newest Eatery
By Tisza Major-Posner | May 16, 2007
I love to eat! I always have and I always will. I am a huge fan of Mexican Food. I think being a life-long southern Californian has something to do with it. I use bean and cheese burritos as my test. I think if a restaurant can’t make a decent bean & cheese burrito, there is not much hope for anything else on the menu.
Yesterday, I found a great new place to eat right here in Claremont, in my very own neighborhood! Casa Blanca’s makes a great bean & cheese. They also make great Chile Relleno, Cheese Enchiladas, Carne Asada, Guacamole & Quesadillas.

The secret here is fresh ingredients. Very little is premade (if you want Chile Relleno, you better get there early, because when they are gone, they’re gone), in fact, most meals are truly entirely made to order from start to finish.
Having this great little gem right around the corner is a blessing and a curse. A blessing, because the bright, clean storefront restaurant has such great food and a terrific variety of options. I am looking forward to trying their fresh Talapia fish tacos made right there using a homemade beer batter. A curse, because with such a great Mexican Restaurant just a stone’s throw away I can tell that my waistline won’t be contracting anytime soon.
The next time you are in Claremont, pop into Casa Blanca’s (300 S. Indian Hill Blvd., Claremont (909) 621-7301) for a quick bite, you won’t be dissapointed! And be sure to tell them Tisza at Route66 Living.com sent you!
