And I Shall Wear White Roses…
By Tisza Major-Posner | May 13, 2007
It is Mother’s Day and, unremarkably, my thoughts are drawn to my mother. It has been 7144 days since my mother last drew breath.
In the time that has passed the world has changed completely. My mother did not live to see cell phones in every hand, the internet in every house or video tapes become passe.
She did not live to see the fairytale romances between two princes and their princesses end in sadness and ultimately tragedy. She did not see the Oklahoma Bombing, 9/11 or her country go to war again not once but twice.
On a more personal note, she missed my 21 birthday, my first love, my engagement, my wedding, my marriage, basically my life… or did she? At every important moment in my life, every pivotal time, I have seen, heard or felt her presence. And for that I am grateful.
So on this day of rememberance and honoring for mother’s everywhere, I shall wear white roses in memory of her.

Tisza - beautiful tribute to your mom - and you bet she has not missed a thing. Hope you had a great mother’s day.
